About Unity in Healing

Unity in Healing is
Veteran-Founded

Unity in Healing is a veteran-founded 501(c)(3) that turns community compassion into concrete help for U.S. service members, veterans, and their families. One annual pay raise and unpredictable living costs leave many military households financially strained; long separations can exacerbate feelings of isolation. Our programs close both gaps with practical relief and genuine connection.

Mission

Equip military families with essentials, give veterans a place to belong, and build a nationwide network of support—so no one who serves our nation faces hardship alone.

Core Programs

Diaper Layette

Purpose:

Ships six-month kits of diapers, wipes, and gently used donated baby clothing to active-duty homes.

Measurable Impact:

Saves each family ≈ $100.00 a month, easing stress at home and sharpening on-duty focus.

Bi-Weekly Veteran Get-Togethers

Purpose:

Casual meet-ups mixing coffee, peer support, and guest experts on health, benefits, and careers.

Measurable Impact:

90 % of attendees report lower isolation and better resource awareness.

Why Layette Kits Matter

Diaper prices can jump 15% overnight; paychecks won’t adjust for a year—a newborn burns through 1,800 diapers in six months, roughly $500 at today’s retail prices. Our bulk contracts lock in pre-spike costs; the community drives gently used baby clothes. Volunteers pack, sponsors fund, and families breathe a sigh of relief.

Why Gatherings Matter

Veterans often lose their built-in support system the day they hang up their uniform. Our bi-weekly sessions restore that sense of tribe. A typical evening pairs relaxed conversation with a 20-minute talk on topics like VA health enrollment and PTSD therapies. Veterans leave with new friends and actionable next steps.

What Makes Us Different

Community-Designed

Programs evolve from direct feedback—active-duty parents, veteran attendees, and sponsor advisers all have a seat at the table.

Transparent & Lean

Quarterly impact sheets detail the number of boxes shipped, the amount saved, and event metrics. Overhead is kept under 10 %, maximizing every donor dollar.

Scalable

Virtual workshops and regional chapters are now rolling out, ready to replicate wherever the need exists.
